The panelized system makes the individual structures and their surface components easy to assemble, dis-assemble, and re-locate.

The design relies on assemblies that exist as “space” and “furniture” simultaneously. The environment presents modestly with exuberance, systematic rhythm with variety, and practical function without predictability.

CHALLENGE A design business wanted to promote the bold energy, playful informality, and crisp professional rigor of its work; and to provide individualized flexible work stations.

SOLUTION “Toy boxes” are comprised of origami-like unfolding parts, which provide all infrastructure. Pre-fabricated wood panel modules are derived from simple repeating geometries and primary colors.
