An economical structure, made from modular sections and windows, provides a system of pattern and shadow; as well as harmonizes with the natural geometry which surrounds it.

Materials, colors, patterns, and the play of light, all support an experience suggesting that, within the home, one is still living in the woods.

CHALLENGE Create a home/work place which embodies the rhythms of a musician’s creative process, and also the rhythms of the immediate natural setting.

SOLUTION A “campsite” with spaces which reflect and extend the existing geometry and patterns of the forest in which they are placed. Light and natural greenery become the principle decorative materials.
