ORGANIC MODERN

Restaurant
Los Angeles, California

Custom steel and glass modular furniture and partitions also serve as the earthquake reinforcing system. The installation responds to practical and budgetary constraints, yet reveals inspiration for the natural menu.

The interior system is durable, efficient, and open for the play of light. As with the food, the materials are used in raw states, exposed and unadorned, but in tasteful combination.

CHALLENGE A chef/owner presents organic dining as a modern lifestyle choice. Interior elements for dining and food preparation must provide maximum utility and visual impact, as well as ease and speed of construction and installation.

SOLUTION Abstract “Shoji” screens combine with prefabricated partitions and furniture to complete an environment of “raw” materials, representing the philosophy of dining.
