The total concept for function and spatial character, a collabor-ation with Kevin McClelland, includes integration of elements of the existing building enclosure for visual fit and cost control.

CHALLENGE A graphic design business sought a visually stim-ulating workplace to promote a new artistic “perspective”. Required were interlocking and changeable work spaces; both private and public, individual and shared.

SOLUTION An “art machine” with unexpected and movable parts; which remains practical and efficient. Common materials were assembled with high precision in unusual patterns for a cost effective solution.
